THE STARTING POINT
Technical debt gives no warning
Critical applications age in silence, until the bill, an outage or an audit makes it visible.
COST
The cloud bill grows without explanation
Oversized resources, forgotten environments and more machines to cover up code problems.
PERFORMANCE
The application can't keep up with the business
Slowness, outages at usage peaks and queries that grow with the data until they block the service.
SECURITY
Risks no one has measured
Vulnerable dependencies, secrets in the code and framework versions no longer supported by the vendor.
KNOWLEDGE
No one dares to touch it
The person who built it is gone, there are no tests or documentation, and every change is a risk to operations.
Without an objective assessment, every decision about the application is made by intuition.
When does it make sense to assess?
If you identify with any of these scenarios, the assessment gives you the basis to decide.
BEFORE MIGRATING
Moving the application to the cloud
Know what can be migrated as is, what needs adapting and how much it will cost to run on Azure.
BEFORE INVESTING
Modernize, extend or rewrite
Decide with data whether evolving is enough, whether to replace it in parts or whether it needs to be rebuilt.
WHEN SOMETHING FAILS
Incidents, slowness or cost overruns
Find the real cause, in the code or in the platform, instead of adding more resources.
WHEN INHERITING AN APPLICATION
Change of vendor or team
Know the real state of what you receive before taking on its maintenance and evolution.
Also as a periodic review of critical workloads, before problems appear.
Decisions based on data, not intuition
Before migrating, rewriting or extending: know its state, what fails and which actions have the most impact.
WITHOUT ASSESSMENT
Deciding by intuition
- Rewriting what could have simply been evolved
- More cloud resources to cover up code problems
- A cloud bill no one can explain
- Vulnerabilities in dependencies, undetected
- Tool reports that no one prioritizes
Result: higher cost and the same risk, unmeasured
WITH ITEQUIA
An evidence-based plan
- From code to platform, in a single analysis
- The five pillars of the Well-Architected Framework
- Each finding, with its impact, effort and cost
- Evolve, replace or rewrite: with sound judgment
- Prioritized plan: quick wins and deeper improvements
Result: decisions based on data, not intuition
Microsoft's framework, applied to the code as well
We start from the Well-Architected Framework and take it to where most problems originate: the code.
THE FRAMEWORK
Well-Architected Framework
Microsoft's public methodology for assessing workloads: five pillars and proven best practices.
THE CODE
Beyond configuration
Cost, performance and security depend as much on the code as on the cloud. We review both.
THE PLATFORM
Wherever it runs
Applications on Azure, on other clouds or on your own servers, including those not yet migrated.
Application
- .NET, Java, Node.js, PHP and other stacks
- Code, architecture and dependencies
Data
- Data model, queries and indexes
- Backups and recovery
Infrastructure
- Machines, PaaS or containers
- Sizing, network and high availability
Delivery
- Repository, CI/CD and environments
- Deployments and monitoring
What we analyze: the five pillars
Each pillar is assessed on the platform and in the code, with evidence and not just questionnaires.
Reliability
- Single points of failure
- Backups and recovery
- Error handling
- Scaling under peaks
Costs
- Sizing
- Orphaned resources
- Reservations and savings
- Cost per environment
Operational excellence
- CI/CD and deployments
- Monitoring and alerts
- Tests and documentation
Security
- Identity and secrets
- Vulnerable dependencies
- Unsupported versions
- Network and data exposure
Performance
- Queries and data access
- Cache and concurrency
- Bottlenecks
- Load testing
Is your application already on Azure? We incorporate Azure Advisor and Microsoft's official review as evidence.
OUR DIFFERENCE
Code reviewed with AI, methodically
We review your code with the same method and tools we use to develop our own.
01
Understanding code with AI
Architecture, data model and business rules extracted from the code itself, including undocumented legacy.
02
Measured static analysis
SonarQube with custom rules: vulnerabilities, reliability, maintainability, duplication and test coverage.
03
Validated by architects
Architects who build software with AI every day validate each finding and estimate the real effort.
AI-Driven method · the same tools we use in our projects. AI accelerates; architects decide.
Four steps, from evidence to plan
The duration is adjusted to each case: number of applications, code size and environments in scope.
01
WITH YOUR MANAGER
Kick-off
Initial meeting, applications and environments in scope, objectives and read access.
02
CODE, PLATFORM AND TEAM
Evidence
Code analysis with AI and SonarQube, platform review and interviews with the team.
03
IMPACT, EFFORT AND COST
Analysis by pillar
Cross-checking against the five pillars and prioritization of findings.
04
TECHNICAL TEAM AND MANAGEMENT
Report and closing
Delivery of the report and closing session with the technical team and management.
What you receive: a report for decision-making
Executive report
A traffic-light view per pillar that management understands without technical jargon.
Level per pillar
Current situation against the Well-Architected Framework, with its evidence.
Code report
Technical debt, vulnerabilities, outdated dependencies and test coverage, measured.
Application map
Architecture, data model and business rules, documented with AI.
Prioritized action plan
Quick wins and deeper improvements, with impact, effort and estimated savings.
Recommended path
Evolve, replace in parts or rewrite; and if migrating, how and at what cost.
AI readiness
Whether the application can expose its logic to AI agents through APIs and MCP.
Independent
It does not assume migrating, rewriting or changing vendors.
HOW IT IS CONTRACTED
Fixed price, no further commitments
Each step is decided with the information from the previous one: the assessment does not oblige you to contract anything else.
01
Initial review
One session to confirm applications, environments, technologies and objectives.
02
Assessment
At a fixed price, based on the number and size of the applications and environments in scope.
03
Improvement
As a project: remediation, modernization or migration, using the AI-Driven method.
04
Operation
Monthly fee: Itequia Cloud Operations and application maintenance and evolution.
The report and the action plan are yours, to execute with whomever you choose. Read-only access to the code and the platform, under our ISO 27001 certification.
The difference from a configuration review

Organizations that trust us
Frequently asked questions
Those are automated recommendations and questionnaires about Azure configuration. We use them as evidence, but we add what they can't see: the code, the data, the delivery, and the judgment of those who develop and operate.
Yes: the pillars apply to any workload, on another cloud or on your own servers. If you are considering migrating, the assessment tells you what can be moved as is and what needs to be adapted.
No. The assessment covers the five pillars, including code and platform security, but it does not attack the application. That is what web application pentesting is for: for critical applications, it makes sense to do both.
We work with read-only access and under our ISO 27001 certification. If you need it, we will sign a specific non-disclosure agreement.
It depends on the number of applications, the size of the code, and the environments in scope. We agree on it in the proposal, with a schedule and a fixed price.
