Development of the frontend of the customer portal for CEISLAB

Thanks to its design, clients can navigate intuitively and easily, accessing the status of their tests in real-time, which significantly facilitates our internal processes.

​Ceislab needed to develop the frontend of their new customer portal, a platform that would allow their clients to efficiently and securely access their orders, files, and invoices. Although CEISLAB had the capability to develop the backend internally, they required a technology partner with frontend expertise to ensure an intuitive and functional user interface. The challenge was to create a solution that not only met technical requirements but also offered an exceptional user experience.

To address this challenge, Itequia focused on developing the frontend of the portal, using modern and proven technologies to ensure an optimal user experience.

The backend of the portal was developed by CEISLAB using a REST API. Itequia worked closely with the CEISLAB team to ensure smooth and efficient integration between the frontend and backend.

The portal developed for CEISLAB includes a series of features designed to enhance security, management, and user experience.

• Two-step authentication: To ensure information security, a two-step authentication system was implemented. Users must enter their email and a verification code sent to their account.
• User and permission management: The portal allows CEISLAB to manage users and their access permissions, ensuring that only authorized individuals can access relevant information.
• Alert and automatic notification management: Users receive automatic notifications based on events, keeping them informed about the status of their orders and files.
• My Orders: Users can access a list of their orders, with the ability to apply advanced filters to search and organize orders according to different criteria. They can also download orders and invoices in PDF format, facilitating easier documentation management.
• My Files: Users can access a list of their files, with the option to apply advanced filters to search and organize files according to different criteria. They can also download reports in PDF format, allowing for complete and accessible documentation.
• Client Manager: The portal offers a detailed view of client managers and their contact information, facilitating communication and client follow-up.
• Multi-language portal: The portal is available in Spanish and English, catering to the needs of CEISLAB’s international clients.

As the main technology for frontend development, React was chosen due to its popularity, flexibility, and success in previous Itequia projects. React allows for the creation of dynamic, fast, and efficient user interfaces, which is crucial for the user experience. Additionally, Bootstrap was used as a framework to make designs adaptive to tablets and mobile devices, and HTML/CSS for the design and structure of web pages.
